Full Body Band HIIT Workout

Where do we even begin about this crazy year of 2020? Ok so we are in the middle of a global pandemic now for the last 6 months, we've been through total lockdown, copious amounts of banana and sourdough bread, the Quarantine-15 is a real phenomena, many kids have gone back to school/daycare, some of us have gone back to work, and just when we were starting to feel some sense of normalcy again, things start to escalate. Have I summed up this year well?

Ok it hasn't been all bad stuff - there have been many gifts too, like more quality time with family, moving into our new house, and really connecting on a deeper level with friends/neighbours and finding gratitude for things we DO have. Lots of lessons, but that's for another blog. As a work-from-home mom, it has been exceptionally challenging to work with a toddler, work a business, take care of the house, and still take care of my own needs. I feel like the reminders from other influencers is SO NEEDED and DESERVED and jolts me back to a place of "where can I fit in ME time today?" Even if it's something so small, like putting makeup on, going for a short walk, zooming with other mamas, this has given me so much to keep on, keeping on with the long days.

Fitness is one of those things for me. Yes, there's the "getting in shape" or "losing the quarantine weight", but for me (and I would venture a guess for you too), movement/exercise is something that allows you to escape for a short period of time. To give back to your body. To create energy and release the mental stress that we are dealing with right now.

And if you feel like you haven't had the energy, or motivation, or any time to look after you, that's why I'm here babe! To give you a gentle nudge, to show you that you don't really need a lot of time to fit in some movement, and instantly feel better about yourself. Small wins here, mama! So my invitation is for you to find 12-18min (yep that's it!) to do this quickie full body workout. If you don't have a band, you can use dumbbells, or whatever is lying around in your house that you can grab (think wine bottles ;)). Now go get it, and if you do, leave a comment below and tell me how you feel afterwards!
